about me
Along with my private practice I work at the STOP Violence Program of the Los Angeles, LGBT Center.
I was born in Mexico, where I lived for the first two decades of my life. At the age of 22, I moved to France, and my path as a clinician began. I obtained a DEUG (General University Studies Diploma) focused on human sciences from Paris X Nanterre and soon after I transferred to Italy. In 2004, I graduated from The Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore - Milano as a psychologist and I obtained my Italian license. I worked for 3 years in a Mental Health Community Clinic in Verona-Italy, focusing my work in the Adoption Center and the Women’s Clinic providing a wide range of services to undocumented immigrants. In 2007 I transferred my life to the USA. I obtained a Masters in Clinical Psychology degree from Antioch University. During my studies I joined the Los Angeles LGBT Center to complete my clinical training and started working with the LGBT community, specifically, the Hispanic/immigrant community victim of trauma (human trafficking, intimate partner violence, sexual abuse, hate crimes, etc.). During these years I improved my skills as a clinician in different settings: individual, couples, group. In addition, I worked at Korean Youth and Community Center for one year, improving my skills treating underprivileged children and their families.
